Restorative Dentistry
Dr. Mariana Cruz Monges
Dr. Mariana Cruz was born in México City. In 1989 she moved to Cancun with her family. Her love for Dentistry started at a young age since both her parents are dentists, so when the time came to choose a professional career, she never doubted her vocation and moved to Mérida in the state of Yucatan, graduating Dentistry in 2013 from the Autonomous University of Yucatán.
Since May 2013 she started working at Cancún Oral Health Specialists, where she is in charge of all of the clinic´s Restorative Dentistry, in children and adults, with a multidisciplinary approach in all of the treatments. Thanks to Dr. Zapata as a professional mentor her desire for continuing education grew, influencing in her way to conceive her patients in a comprehensive manner.
In 2014 she finished an Implant course given by the Mexican Oral Implantology Association. .
In 2017 she finished a Pediatric Dentistry course at Mexican Excellence Postgraduate Studies in Mérida, Yucatán.
She has taken numerous courses keeping a constant continuing education. She had the opportunity to have Dr. Roberto Magallanes Ramos, an Indiana University specialist, as a mentor, assisting him in his clinic, him being one of the best restorative dentists in México, participating in courses at the international level, and being one of the world leaders in Preventive and Restorative Dentistry.
In May 2021 Dr. Cruz took a hands-on course in Cariology and Direct Bonded Restorations given by Dr. Eraldo Pesaressi Torres.
In November 2021 she took a hands-on course with Dr. Sidney Kina y August Burguera in México City in Minimally Invasive Restorations.
Dr. Mariana Cruz started musical studies at the age of 7. She played with the Juvenile Orchestra of Quintana Roo. Part of her love for the arts is also what makes Dentistry her true passion, since it is a mixture of science, art and service to others.
From age 11 to 18 she played with the Quintana Roo state Grass Hockey team, making sports a part of her personal development.
Her mission in life is to be able to serve her patients, which she considers a part of her family.
